Quick report
Traveling up the boot pack on Mount Glory, I noticed surface hoar had developed overnight up to 9200'. These crystals were the largest around 8500' and widespread on south and east-facing terrain. Skies remained clear through the morning allowing direct sun onto east and south-facing terrain. A weak 1cm crust formed on these same aspects below 8500' in the afternoon as clouds developed. The solar input was able to destroy much, but not all, of the surface hoar below 8500'. There was evidence of recent cornice failures above steep east-facing slopes. No avalanches were triggered by these failures. No other signs of instability were noted today.

Skies were clear in the morning, with an inversion in the valley causing a fog layer. Clouds started building from the west around 10:00 am and skies were overcast by 1:00 PM. Temperatures were cold in the morning in the mid-teens - heating to mid-20s F by mid-afternoon. Light winds from the west in the afternoon.
