On Pepi's ridge in JHMR a 7" thick wind slab broke and moved slightly over soft fresh snow at the interface. The instability spread about 75 feet across the slope. Slope angle was in the mid 20s at 8860' on a directly south facing aspect. The instability was triggered by a group traversing the ridge in front of us at around 2:30. Winds had been gusting over 50 at the summit from the southwest.
