Quick report
Skied Tumalo bowl ~9:30a. Moderate winds at the summit, with clear skies and below freezing temps (trending warmer). Past avalanche debris/cornice chunks observed. Snow was (at that time) ~1' of unconsolidated, dry snow on top of a thick crust/ice. Stayed on top of crust the entire time (going both downhill and uphill). Made for fun (but cautious) skiing. Loose snow over ice made steeper parts of skinning out challenging/slippery (ski crampons would have been clutch). Sizeable cornices noted along several parts of the top of the bowl's ridgeline. Enjoyable ski back down the trees to the car.
