Firm and Icy snow below 1500ft, above that snow depth rapidly increased in depth and ski penetration. Snow quality above 1800 feet was excellent. There was surface hoar up to about 3000 ft. Some wind effect closer to the highway on west faces that disappeared as we kept climbing
