Clemina Creek

An ambitious day was planned, but due to inclement weather (stormy conditions and clouds) we were forced to reroute our travel plans. Most of our day was spent in simple terrain and dense trees. No avalanche activity was observed, however a hollow drum like sound on a North/North East aspect was observed at 2500m. Further testing of that slope produced a sudden collapse 25cm down on the Jan 18th (8mm) surface hoar layer. There were no results produced from an extended column test that followed.
