- <p>Found some minor wind slabs on the higher ridgelines cracking out a foot deep or so, but manageable other wise. It seemed once you got down off the ridge not much of an issue. These could be a little more reactive in some of the high exposed terrain, but generally felt the hazard was low today in my travels. </p>
A pretty quiet day and the only minor activity I observed was this natural cornice fall that likely released during the sustained winds the last few days. It only entrained the new surface snow and can be a good indicator of how stable things are on that aspect.

- <p>Genarally felt the hazard was low for lingering wind slabs, unless a person is getting into the more high exposed terrain where the winds were still breezy today.</p> <p>I have not heard of any avalanche activity or dug around in some of the shallow rocky areas where the snowpack has been thin all winter, but would continue to be aware of these places where it's possible to trigger a slide.</p>
Not sure how much new snow has fallen since Tuesday's storm, some of my old tracks have since been filled back in. The snow conditions right now are quite nice with a supportable base and nice powder riding on all aspects around the Whitney Basin and Moffit Peak area.
