Skinned up lookers right of the slide path until just after it splits. Slide path had 15-20cm ski pen in nice fresh snow. No signs of instability until skinning up a rib and unsupported section at a kick turn pushed off easily. Decided to dig a quick pit. HS 165cm, 27 degree slope. CT 3 on recent storm snow (10cm down) then CT 4 (40cm down). Planar sudden compression for both. Did an ECT and sudden compression on 2. Ripped skins and opted to lap the bottom half of the slide path. Great powder skiing. When we skinned up for lap 2 we noticed a 0.5-1 avalanche that naturally released whilst we skied about 100m vertical above where we transitioned on the steeper south facing slope. Ran into the main slide path gully but not far.
