AST 2 Observations HBM Prairie

Short tour, non avalanche terrain, practice rescue skills. Hasty Pit near treeline, sheltered area, south aspect. We noted rapid settlement in the previous storm snow, snowpack depth @ 90 -100cm. Top 10cm wet snow, moist snow throughout the remainder of the snowpack. Top 20cm is 0c, remainder showed a weak temperature gradient . Two compression tests showed no result in area tested. It was overcast, max temp 4c, very little rain, and light winds at treeline.
