White Pass Alpine

We spent the day in the alpine searching for an isolated weak layer of surface hoar we've been suspicious of. We dug profiles in two sheltered alpine features and found no layers of concern and had no results on snowpack tests. We observed no new avalanches and encountered no signs of instability in the snowpack. Riding was quite good in 15-25cm of settled powder. The skies had high clouds, the wind was calm, and temps hovered in the -12C range. All in all a nice day out.
