A game of chance.

Mild temps with ~ 20cms of new low density snow sitting over last week’s wind affected surfaces.
Winds picked up from the NE at noon. There was active wind transport at tree line. Looking down into Fraser chutes you could see the snow being redistributed by the winds on rib features.
Visibility was in and out in the morning. A clearing trend for the early afternoon. A beautiful day for a walk but every turn was a gamble with buried rocks just under the surface. Skins and ski bases took some hits today.
No new avalanches observed.
