Two avalanche obs from town this am before the ceiling dropped. one sz 1.5 to 2 slab in little Simpsons gulch in east aspect common performer at the north end basin. Judging from shallower crown depth and relatively small propagation guessing just storm slab that did not step down below crusts into basal weaknesses. One point release entraining maybe up to sz2 observed on main Kathlyn face starting in NE aspect corniced terrain at ridgetop. No propagation into slabs as it moved past the steeper rocky/shallow ground into the more typically deeper snowpack below the upper 5000 triangle.
