Heinous, but edgeable

I rated the snow quality as ok on account of the decent sled ride into Summit Creek, but don't plan to find much hero snow. We skied* the Petite Chamonix couloir, which was interesting. Winds have impacted most aspects in this area, as there isn't a lot of sheltered terrain. The run is south facing, and warm inversions over the last few days have affected snow surfaces and formed melt-freeze crusts on south features at higher elevations. Tis the time of year to start giving serious thought to solar input as you plan your days. The good news is that the snow is seriously deep up there and will set us up for a long spring. *survival skied, at best
