Upper Burnt

Trapper Gilowski, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

The weekend in the upper burnt was extreamly windy wind slabs developed on any exposed terrain. On Sunday the day got very warm and the snow was really wet on the surface. In our pit we had a few layers of concern we had some storm layers reacting in the easy range (CTE 4-6) down 15cm and 25cm mix layer of wind slabs. The crust layer that is sitting of facets was reacting in the moderate range (CTM 16) down 55cm. Noticed a debris pile from a few days ago about a size 2-2.5 on a north aspect above tree line. Have fun and ride safe!
