Avalanche Information
Triggered a D1.5 Loose avalanche in the "turkey chute" that ran on the new old interface. Around 10 inches of drifted snow was observed at the top of the couloir. The avalanche was triggered on my 4th or 5th turn. The snow broke around me, but I easily skied to the right of the line out of the fast-moving snow. Soft debris started to pile up near the bottom of the rocky couloir and fanned out into the apron. We also observed snow falling off steep westerly rocks following gusts of wind.
Weather
4"-8" of new snow observed to have fallen in the past 24 hours. Winds were light at lower elevations but gusty on the ridgeline. The new snow was wet and dense the further you descended in elevation.
