skid up to the 1600m ridge on cloudburst today. At 1300m the snow was dry powder in the morning, but by the afternoon had moistened up considerably. Between 1300m and 1600m we found wind slabs on ridges, but in the lee terrain, the snow had not bonded into a storm slab or wind slab. We did notice a couple of natural size 1 releases from the top of east-facing ridgelines, as well as a size 2 on a north-facing convexity.
The day was mostly sunny, with a few storm clouds that rolled through and dropped less than 1cm of graupel on us.
