Red heather conditions

35cm of snow just above the Red Heather shelter. Skins on at waterfall and minimal coverage on road until just below the shelter. Overall snow is thin and wet

Warm and cloudy with brief periods of light rain. Mix of rain and snow at Red heather, very light.

20cm of heavy wet snow above a 5cm crust. Below crust about 5cm of facets/rounded grains sitting on-top of another crust which goes to ground. Total height of snow 35cm at 1400m on a north aspect above the Red heather hut
