- <p>Only poor snowpack structure. A few old pockety - very pockety - crowns noted 50' wide in steep northerly and northeasterly terrain above 9500'. Failure plane unknown, though likely Thanksgiving squares.</p>
Small facets noted beneath Monday's rime crust; small rounding facets noted above and below Friday night's rime crusts; expect the surface to again rot during this week of high pressure.
Also jumped on many steep test slopes without any signs of instability. No cracking or collapsing noted and perhaps expected to see a bit more activity from the weekend....
Snowpack
Surface hoar above Monday's thin rime crust noted on nearly all aspects and elevations of our tour toward the back bowls. Skiing conditions quite good, though off and sunny aspects were crusted. Exit not as bad as expected.
