Quick report
Started from the Manitoba parking lot at noon. Above freezing, inversion layer on the highway, about 3 inches of fresh snow at the highway. Followed a dubious skin track up. Party cloudy and clear view above the inversion layer. Ski penetration over 25cm. Alders are definitely getting beat down. Snow was almost too deep for the dogs. Probed 80cm at 1400ft elevation. Probed 70cm at 1500ft elevation. Turned around a little past 2000ft elevation (meadows). The snow was almost too deep to ski down. No red flags. Back at the Manitoba parking lot at 3:00pm.
