Quick report
At the valley floor, (1200ft) only 1-2 inches of new snow accumulated during the last storm cycle. Snow totals gradually increased with elevation and at 3400 ft, 10 inches were present. The 3/29 Buried Surface Hoar was observed 10 inches down under the new storm snow. The new snow was cohesionless and had not formed a slab yet. At 3400ft on an east apect a pit revealed no propagating results, a fracture was initiated at the new old interface but did not propagate: ECTN24 down 25 cms (10 inches). As the new storm storm settles and becomes stiffer, expect propagation on this layer of Buried Surface Hoar to be possible.

Avalanche
D2 natural avalanche at 3500ft on an east aspect of Billy Mitchell apeared to have stepped down to the 3/9 BSH during the last storm.
