Quick report

Protected areas that have been sheltered from even light winds have had more near-surface faceting, resulting in softer, more consistent riding.
The facting regime has not helped the persistent layers within the snowpack. WIth propagating results,  we factor in persistent slab into our terrain choices,

No red flags were observed—no whumfing, shooting cracks, collapsing, blowing snow, or recent avalanche activity. There was no precipitation and stable, cool temperatures with mild solar influence.

Light N and NE winds. Cloud coverage increased throughout the day as the offshore front in the Gulf approached.

Snowpack

Thick and thin snowpack depths were seen across the landscape. Shallower snowpack in lower elevations and wind transport have sculpted thick and thin areas.
The surface conditions were also variable, featuring soft and carvable near-surface facets along with sections of hard wind board, some of which produced a hollow sound when tapped.

Persistent layers had propagating results in the lower part of the snowpack.
