Quick report
Went up to the Tunnel Ridge weather station to do a wellfare check.
- We observed no signs of instability and no recent avalanches.
- We observed two notable debris piles that likely failed during the early December Atmospheric River. See avalanche tab for more information.
- Moderate to strong winds at ridgetop. No snow transport observed.
- The 12/7 crust was thick and supportable with no observed weak layers in a snowpit at 6400 feet.
- Surface snow is faceting on norths. Sun crust exists on souths.

Mix of sun and clouds. Moderate to strong winds at upper ridgelines. No observed wind transport.
Snowpack
Snowpit at 6400 ft on a NE aspect.
- HS 95.
- 12/7 crust was 10 cm thick. Bottom of crust was burried 55 cm below the snow surface.
- No observed weak layers in the snowpack.

Observed two large debris piles off the crest of the Flathead. These appeared old. I suspect these failed during the warm atmospheric river in early December.
