Quick report
- Cracking
- widespread
- Collapsing
- isolated
A complex, but overall weak snowpack with many layers of facets and thin crusts. And extremly affected snow everywhere else. All aspects had many varieties of wind affected snow. Some thin crusty wind slabs, as well as stiff slabs. All of these produced small, but easy to trigger cracks <1m. Anything that wasn't a wind slab or crust was a thin layer of near surface facets on a crust.

Was parked at the Scout Mtn gate and observed a cornice that failed sometime earlier this week. Likely during the wind event Wednesday. This is 350 vertical feet above one of the nordic trails. It is a regular offender and has caught, carried, and partially buried a solo skier in the past.
