The reporting party watched as two riders worked to get one sled unstuck from a patch of trees above this slope. The rider was trying to get off the slope due to the steepness and avalanche hazard. As he worked his sled sideways to turn, the slope failed. The rider was buried to the waist. The sled was deeply buried.
