- Recent Avalanches, Poor Snowpack Structure
Went for a look in Cardiff fork today. Pretty impressive natural avalanches from The last storm cycle. Starting from Kessler slabs through Cardiac Ridge. Many locations had crossed the summer road. Most notable to me was High Ivory and mid ivory crossing the bench at passing over the summer trail.
Many different snow types, from melt freeze, sun crusts, to powder in the sheltered high locations. The wind picked up in the afternoon and and started moving some snow around.
