Red Flags Comment

No cracking/collapsing observed. Small sluff off conehead from a skier. Folks were hitting most of the big lines off the PC Ridgeline, W and S Monitor, Dutches, etc without incident. Skied the West Monitor Sneak as I'm not quite as confident in the snowpack as everyone else seemed to be.

Instability Comment

Went out to evaluate the current CR/FC combo on solar exposures. Dug a pit on SE @ 9700' and found evidence of poor structure, but the facets are beginning to round and stability tests revealed moderate strength and no propagation. In this particular spot there was not a wind slab on the weaknesses, so that still may behave a little differently. I think we'll turn the corner on this problem relatively soon especially if the wx forecast verifies and we continue to progressively load this layer without a major water event to tip the balance. See attached snowpit for specifics.

New snow was right side up and skiing well.
