Pretty good snow cover in the Central Bear River Range for October, but it's quite shallow. People are getting out on sleds and boards, but you have to be very careful and keep your speed down due to many shallowly buried rocks and stumps.

The Tony Grove Road is not maintained for winter driving, and it is snow packed and very icy in places. Hikers, cross country skiers, dogs, snow bikes, wheeled vehicles, and sledders share the popular road this time of year, so please be nice and keep your speed down around others...

Instability Comment

Observed a few fresh drifts up to around two feet deep in exposed upper elevation terrain. We did not see any signs of recent avalanches.

A bit less than a foot of nice fresh powder from Monday's storm.
