Quick report

Observed pinwheels and rollerballs, along with small avalanche debris from within last 24 hr overlaying last week’s significant avalanche debris in both South/Sandbox and Main Gully. Group skinned up the Sandbox and did not observe any significant instabilities en-route; generally, 3-5” of fresh snow overlying a firmer developed layer that sometimes pulled away in hand shear tests ~12” down. Up top, no significant wind slab formation was observed on the leeward side of the ridge, and little to no snow transport was observed. Some pockets of wind slab could be found higher on the ridge away from the lip into the Sandbox.
