Quick report
I observed evidence of a large avalanche stretching across much of center headwall that likely occurred within the last 36 hours, along with freshly formed windslab in the gullies. Active windloading was occurring along the Boot Spur ridge and in isolated sheltered areas in Tuckerman Ravine.

Extreme winds buffeted the area. Intermittent clouds sweeping down the headwall occasionally obscured vision.
Snowpack
Snow surface in the bottom of the bowl was a mix of wind slab, 4F to 1F hardness, 4-12" deep, and avalanche debris. Pockets of newly formed windslab with both smooth and wind affected texture were evident in all gullies in between exposed rock and ice.
Avalanche
I observed a crown line stretching from above Chute partway across center Headwall in the upper start zone. This slide which likely occurred sometime in the past 36 hours, D2.5, R4. The debris covered a wide swath of the floor of the ravine, burying the stream, and ran all the way to where the TRT exits the trees just past Connection Cache.
