Avalanche incident

A group of 2 ski tourers triggered a size 2 avalanche while up-tracking at approximately 2700m. The avalanche was 80m wide, 20-40cm deep, and ran 250m. It was a wind slab that dug down to the basal facet layer. Both skiers were caught on the flank but were not buried. They lost their ski equipment, and were picked up by helicopter with no injuries.
