- <p>Snow was heavy and thick in places and stripped to the old crusts in others. It seemed that the winds were so strong that it just made a mess out of everything and didn't load just one aspect. I am sure there is a wind slab out there somewhere, but in my location they seemed minimal and not a huge concern. </p>
Riding was hit or miss. We needed just a little more snow and less wind to make it all time. The wind really took it's toll and worked it's way down into the canyon bottoms. Even the flats on the summer road had wind damage and large drifts.
