- <p>No collapsing or whoomphing was noticed along the N and NW ridges of 10420 despite hiking slightly to the side of the main skin track in spots. </p>
We dug a pit near the start zone of Lane's Leap (NE, 9600ft). I would have uploaded the snow profile photo but it would only upload sideways, and it's the same snow profile we've been staring at for days anyway: 18" of cohesive new snow on top of a variety of alternating facets and crusts.
Snowpack
The upper elevation, unshaded NE aspect we skied was grippy and damp by noon. The upper elevation, shaded NW aspect we skied was powder in the early afternoon, but there were still branches and logs poking out of the snow and lurking below the surface.
