Quick report
Around 50-65cm (20-26") of recent snow sitting on a poor interface with a widespread crust paired with facets above/below on all aspects including north up to 9000'. Broken skies. Temperatures are on a cooling trend. Light winds shifted to NW around noon. Intermittent snow showers with little accumulation. Total winds at the Summit of JHMR have hovered between 400-500mph for the whole week. Most of the avalanche activity has lined up with wind loaded terrain potentially helping form a more cohesive slab for propagation. Wind affect is likely an issue based on total miles in higher elevations (10k) and above 8500' in heavily wind funneled zones (Phillips Pass).
Snowpack
Dug a pit on a NNW aspect at 9000'. No propagation on the new to old interface (2/2) that had a thin, breakable melt freeze crust sandwhiched between facets (.5mm). ECTN8 on midstorm density break. ECTN21 on 2/2 interface.
Found an old avalanche from January cycle at 8000' on WNW aspect. Dug in the old avalanche path as well as the flake to test differences in the 1/4 weak layer to track repeater trends. No propagation in either pit. 1/4 facets were moist and rounding in both pit locations. HS varied between 90cm (avalanche pit) and 145cm (non avalanche flank).
