Quick report
Skied into Leavitt lake valley with the objective of skiing low angle TL on N facing aspect. Observed saturation snowpack skinning up NTL. Tree cone demarcation lines 20cm above snowpack. Recent and old avalanches observed on S, E, and N aspects. Approaching ATL observed zipper crust. Dug pit at 9,700’, no results.
Avalanche
Several old avalanche remnants were observed. Mostly slab with a couple small wet loose slides under cliff bands. Wet loose happened yesterday, slabs looked to be a couple days to a week old.
