Quick report

Ice sheets were forming on many of the solar aspects, lots of signs of wind activity, aspects in the bowl exposed to S/SE winds were wind buffed and ridge tops stripped, deposits of snow on N/NW aspects made for good skiing but due to the wind slab we kept terrain choices conservative.

Great weather today, started out 10am overcast by 1130 it was sunny and 35* winds from S/SE in the bowl felt about 20-30mph but died down by the afternoon.

Snowpack

We dug our pit at 9900’ on an exposed E/ NE slope total depth 197cm, we got a CT18 at 162cm, 35cm from top, ECT did not propagate, overall very strong snow pack.
