Quick report

Toured up to assess snow conditions in the Seldom Seen, 4068, and Frostbite areas. Dug a snow pit on the north aspect of Frostbite. Observed 5 cm of new snow atop approximately 80 cm of solid snowpack, with 8 cm of facets at the base. Performed an Extended Column Test (ECT), which did not fail. Continued touring further up the valley, where conditions were thin overall. All upper-elevation ridges were wind-stripped down to tundra. Skied the upper runs at Skeetawk, which featured about 2 inches of new snow over an icy base. The skiing was okay and enjoyable, though some vegetation remains visible. Refer to attached photos. Additionally, the skin track is quite brushy and could benefit from pruning. Next time, I plan to bring loppers to clear the path.
