Someone had a close call yesterday! If the party that triggered it steps up and reports it, feel free to delete this report. Other natural crowns were observed up canyon on same aspect, as well as evidence of mid-storm slides with no visible crowns. On the opposite aspect, we found excellent conditions at mid elevations. Upper elevations started to feel less stable, with widespread cracking and one significant whumpf/collapse experienced on the skin track around 9400'. Agree with the forecast of Con-Mod-Mod. Descended through lovely old growth Westside woods.

Observed from across the valley today, so everything is estimated. ASr-SS-R3-D2-S. Depth 18"-24". Avalanche was likely remote triggered, possibly from the skin track. Could have also been triggered from the ridge on the descent. Debris ran full track to the valley floor (800'), triggering other 12" slabs down low in the path.
