Under the crescent moon

We headed out to the Onion today to enjoy some more fun in the sun. There were strong winds in the alpine but since the snow was crusty or had already been wind affected we didn't see much snow being redistributed. We saw no new avalanches. There are still a few pockets of stiff wind slab in alpine lees but we didn't trigger any today. In sheltered areas we found soft snow that provided some pretty fun riding and reprieve from the wind.
