Quick Observation

Good day in the ''powder valley'' .Nice and shelter form the wind almost all the way. Only once we reach the plateau the wind became strong and unpleasant. 2 nice run, one on the side of the canyon meeting the road just bellow the plateau, the other run was even better, in the trees or just on the edge of it, dropping into the creek , cross the road and keep going until the slope end.Regarding the weather condition, our group had a pleasant day. We did not really see any sign of instability or recent slide. We tried many test slopes on the way , nothing strange, but we where very concern about the snow pack sitting on sugary light hollow base about 1 to 1.40 meter touching ground. Our concern was that it might be hard to trigger, but if it did, it might be big.
