Travelled to McGill shoulder this morning. Low coverage between parking and 1500m still but manageable skining and ski out.
Weather was cloudy with periods of sun, trace precip, and light winds with some moderate gusts breaking some branches at certain points.
Dug a test profile on an east aspect at 2040m
HS of 140cm
70cm of storm snow sat on top of the Dec 6 SH layer, and a 3cm crust
Test results were
ECT 25 down 70 (Resistant planer) on facet/crust
CTM 16 down 70 (Sudden planer) on facet/crust
Skied up to 40 degrees on southerly aspects with no signs of instability observed.
Bostock summer trail is in quite good condition from parking.
