Quick Observation

Went up to pedley today to see what was going on and found surprisingly good conditions. (again) North facing slopes held great skiing above about 1500-1800m, and south facing slopes had crusts all the way into the alpine. The wind was blowing strong in the alpine today around 40-60kmh winds. we saw evidence of a natural avalanche on a south facing slope, it was about a size 3 and ran to valley bottom.

Weather

Temperatures were nice today, Freezing levels around 1600m and it was probably around -4 max in the alpine today

Snowpack

We dug a pit to do a Compression Test on a south facing slope on the backside of the mountain. Snow was 220cm deep but we only dug down 155cm. CT23 Resistant Planar 15cm Down CT30 Sudden Planar 60cm Down
