“The Knob”, and the SE Hills zone, were in great condition today. North-South aspects had 30-50cm of low density snow, sitting on a supportive rain crust. The East facing slope was generally holding the most. Some soft slabs in the top 5-10cm, but could not get any snow moving on any of the more prominent, steep loaded features. Winds generally from the West all day, 30-50km/hr. Snowing and blowing when we left around 1:30pm. No Natural avalanche activity noted along Route 430. Some fantastic skiing to be had, until the winds have there way, with “The Knob”.
