Investigating three human-triggered avalanches since December 28 in the same area. All of the avalanches failed below a thin, breakable rain crust that formed on Christmas Day and stepped down to the ground within about 10 feet of the crown face. Two of the avalanches were remotely triggered from up to 100 feet away and none of them were large enough to bury a person (less than D2 in size).
