Quick Observation

Went for a walk to explore terrain on Castle Mt. Stiff crust on top of moist snowpack. On the ridge from 1840-2115m has strong SW winds with extreme gusts transporting lots of snow. Test profile dug on an E aspect at 1890m with HS 155cm had a CTH30 SP down 71 on a melt freeze crust. Snowpack was moist all the way to ground, with multiple thin layers of the melt freeze crust. Other groups reported HS up to 260cm on leeward slopes.
