Recent NE winds have scoured higher elevation N-NE-E aspects stripping some of the recent snowfall from this weekends storm.  Some of the most exposed areas have been scoured down to a firm basal ice layer on the ground.  Overall coverage in this area is around 1' of snow with varying degrees of supportability.  Soft and more unsupportable snow exists in wind protected below treeline areas with wind scoured and pressed snow in more exposed locations.  The snow that existed before this past weekend storm is mostly made up of weak faceted snow near the base of the snowpack.  Current avalanche conditions are limited to where wind slabs may still exist above the older weak faceted snow.   This could exist in terrain that has some NE wind protection, but received previous wind loading during the weekend storm from SW winds.  Early season conditions exist with limited snow coverage and lots of obstacles to hit.
