The snowpack in the Blues is well consolidated. The persistent slab problem has healed. There is not enough snow between 3000'-4000' to warrant an avalanche danger rating.
I observed minor loose wet activity at 4000' on a south-facing slope.Weather

Partly cloudy, some light graupel showers, above freezing temperatures, calm wind.
Snowpack
At 5400' on a northeast facing slope I found 180cm/6ft of snow. I dug down to the ground and found very hard snow from the top to the bottom. The entire snowpack was rounds and crusts. I could still detect the layer of what was weak sugary snow from this fall and early winter but it was harder than it has been all season. It also sits under 150cm/5ft of concrete like snow.
We've been tracking the persistent slab problem all season. We have been watching it heal and become less of an issue. After digging this pit I feel confident removing the persistent slab avalanche problem from our avalanche forecasts.
