Quick report

Stuck to SE and SW aspects, NTL and BTL. Light new snow overnight, just trace amounts though. Seemed like there was older, well-preserved powder of pole depth 8-10” and boot pen 18-20”. Overcast in the morning, one or two cloud ‘holes’ but no sun breaks. Light winds below ridgeline, moderate winds at ridgeline. Very few surface instabilities experienced and/or noted. No collapsing or whumpfing on the terrain traveled. No cracking on kick turns. Little evidence of previous natural slides, no noted crown lines, and little debris. Minor sluffing on steeper aspects. Melt-freeze crust is slightly noticeable on steeper slopes. No slab formations noted. Skied a constricted gully facing W/SW and did not any reactions in the snowpack. Great ski quality, only increasing throughout the day as snow accumulated. 3-4” of low-density accumulation throughout the day.
