Quick report

We dug a pit on a north facing slope on point 6 at ridgeline and found cold powder but a touchy slab. Total depth of snow 160 cm. This is a rocky ridgetop. ECTP14 35 cm below the surface on what appeared to be a sun crust with facets underneath. The facets were obvious in the pit wall. It was one of the quicker propagation's I have seen this season. Not a lot of mass in the slab, but we chose to dial back terrain and did not have any problems while skiing. Northwest slope was skiing decent with a few inches on a light sun crust. Anything but true north was somewhat sun affected.
