Found cracking and collapsing on wind loaded terrain above 6k. Definitely will echo what was mentioned on the previous report about variation of snow depth. Found 12-16in below 6k feet, maybe 16-20 on average above 6k. It was a glorious conglomerate of dense, consolidated pow on the S aspect we skied. Dug down in a wind effected area at 6,400 feet on a S aspect , 20 degree slope. 60-50- new snow, 50-20 cm- wind effected storm snow, 20-19cm- MF crust, 18-0 cm- old, moist, faceting snow. ECTN 14 @ 35cm on what seemed to be difference in wind effected snow. ECTN 29 @ 15 cm in the faceting snow. Felt good about what we skied, saw lots of others in the same zone opening it up, but was pretty wary of that result down low as it was sudden and planar.
