Quick report
Travelled to Source Lake basin and up to Snow Lake divide, S to SW aspects up to 4500’. There was 2-3” of new snow on top of a breakable crust, which was variably ski-supportable. Boot pen was up to mid-shin. The new snow seems well-bonded to the crust below. I couldn’t get any roller balls to really start entraining more snow. Wind effect was evident at ridgeline, but outside of isolated pockets/drifts there’s not really enough snow to form slabs and slide. Lots of old debris but I didn’t observe any evidence of avalanches more recent than 1-2 days.
Avalanche
Saw evidence of some D2+ wet slides that were at least a day old
