Toured into lower angle terrain on the lower slopes of Herman in boulder field trees, and could predictably ski cut storm slab and soft windslab on nearly all convexities which would frequently run full width, all D1. Slabs were 8-12" deep on MF crust (presumably from yesterday's warmup). Did not dig to investigate 3/8 interface. Upper portions of boulder field, and enchanted forest ran naturally up to size D2, did not appear to step down, and we saw the gully on the far east side of enchanted forest/grandmas cover the enchanted forest uptrack as we were touring out along bagley lakes. Heavy wind transport in the morning
Avalanche
Intentionally ski cut numerous soft slabs on even low angle convexities (<30 degrees), and witnessed many natural features avalanching up to size D2 on the south side of Herman.
